AVER is seeking an experienced hands on ServiceNow Developer responsible for the technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation of ServiceNow projects enhancements, and fixes. Support Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as a ServiceNow Developer on an Applications Development team working along with business users and external vendors to design, implement, test, document, and deploy enhancements, fixes, and configuration changes across the enterprise. Develop solutions within ServiceNow global platform and contribute to the development of scoped applications. Assist with the integration of apps/tools with ServiceNow, limited system administration, report development and testing of the product and its sub-modules. Responsibilities Include:
Support the development and configuration of ServiceNow in a variety of areas including, but not limited to Service Portal, Customer Service Management (CSM), IT Service Management (ITSM), Discovery, Project, Reporting, and SLAs
Collaborate with team members to define, analyze, understand, and document business and technical requirements
Participate in and support ServiceNow version upgrades
Offer technical solutions to address requirements, evaluate alternate solutions, and perform analysis to determine technical courses of action
Partner with lead architect on projects, driving the design, creation, testing, and delivery of technical functionality
Create technical architecture, design, and user guide documentation
Support business growth and proposal teams by writing proposal sections, providing guidance, and contributing to the creation of cost and effort estimates
Work with end users, stakeholders, and management to define and create reports, dashboards, and data analysis products
Lead, author, and contribute to IT related, technical processes reviews, postmortems, and continual process improvement
Create estimations on the effort required to produce ServiceNow functionality
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant technical field
Experience Requirements:
5+ years of ServiceNow Development experience as a Developer or hands on Configuration experience with ServiceNow is required
Experience with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
Experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML and familiarity with LDAP, MS Active Directory, ADFS Integration (interfacing) of enterprise software systems
Experience working with the ServiceNow Platform as a key technical resource leading the development and/or configuration of ServiceNow solutions in multiple environments ServiceNow platform development including CSM, ITSM, SPM, ITOM, ITBM & ITAM
Desired Requirements:
Ability to write well designed, testable, efficient code to support varied and more complex IT solutions
Perform all necessary discoveries and fact-finding to fully understand more complex business problems and opportunities. Translate requirements into appropriate code, workflows, and reports
Understanding of Customer Service Management, IT service management, and common service level agreement measurements
Excellent collaboration skills and can effectively work in a team environment. Must be able to identify and learn new technologies quickly
