As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be instrumental in designing, configuring, customizing, and implementing ServiceNow applications tailored to our clients' unique business needs. Key Responsibilities
Solution Discovery & Design:
Collaborate with Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to understand business outcomes and functional requirements.
Translate these requirements into effective ServiceNow solution designs.
Technical Implementation
Work with cross-functional teams to implement ServiceNow solutions that align with design specifications and industry best practices.
Develop and maintain complex scripts, business rules, and UI policies.
Data Migration
Support the design and execution of data migration from legacy systems to ServiceNow.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency, leveraging out-of-the-box data schemas before creating custom tables and fields.
Integration Management
Assist in integrating ServiceNow with other systems and applications for seamless end-to-end processes.
Technical Documentation
Create detailed documentation of configurations, customizations, data schemas, and technical decisions for future reference.
Testing And Quality Assurance
Conduct thorough testing to validate functionality, data integrity, and user experience.
Address issues and make necessary adjustments to ensure the solution meets desired outcomes.
User Training
Support end-user training to facilitate smooth adoption of the implemented solution.
Change Management
Assist in change management efforts by supporting users and resolving issues during the transition period.
Incident And Problem Resolution
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow implementations.
Collaborate with support teams for timely incident resolution.
Security And Compliance
Follow security best practices and ensure solutions meet relevant compliance requirements.
Continuous Learning
Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow features, enhancements, and best practices.
Continue certification and training to contribute to team success and personal growth.
Mentorship
Provide technical guidance to Associate ServiceNow Developers.
Support the development of team members by sharing knowledge and experiences.
Collaboration And Communication
Work closely with project managers, implementation specialists, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project coordination.
Communicate effectively about risks, issues, successes, and project status.
Required Experiences And Certifications
2+ years of experience implementing ServiceNow solutions.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
US Citizenship (required for federal government positions).
Ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance.
Must reside and work within the U.S.
Valuable Skills For This Role
Additional certifications in ServiceNow (e.g., Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist).
Hands-on experience with 5+ ServiceNow applications.
In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities and best practices.
Current DHS Public Trust clearance.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.
Strong scripting skills in JavaScript and GlideScript.
Technical skills in workflow configuration and business rule development.
Experience customizing UI and creating complex workflows.
Understanding of integration techniques with external systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
