Responsibilities:
TEKsystems is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ServiceNow Administrator to join our client in Lenexa, Kansas. The primary focus of the ServiceNow Administrator is to manage and optimize the ServiceNow platform, which plays a pivotal role in the service management and workflow automation. As a ServiceNow Administrator, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and enhancing the platform to ensure its effectiveness in supporting our business processes and delivering exceptional user experiences.
Core Responsibilities -
Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform in collaboration with Core Technology and Security teams to align with business requirements, including workflows, forms, fields, UI, and integrations
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business needs, translate them into functional requirements, and implement solutions within the ServiceNow environment
Manage the lifecycle of ServiceNow applications, including installation, upgrades, and patching
Design and maintain ServiceNow modules, including but not limited to Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Asset Management and Request Fulfillment
Develop and implement ServiceNow scripts, business rules, UI policies, and client scripts to automate processes and improve user interactions
Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of the ServiceNow platform
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
Provide user support and training to ensure efficient use of the ServiceNow platform
Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and customizations
Stay up-to-date with ServiceNow releases, features, and best practices
Skills:
Help desk, Support, Customer service, Windows 10, Office 365, Microsoft Suite, Troubleshooting, Operating System Software, Android, Mac, active directory
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
1-3 years in a ServiceNow Administrator role
Proficiency in ServiceNow configuration, including workflows, forms, reports, and integrations
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Minimum Requirements:
Strong scripting skills (JavaScript, Jelly, Glide) for customizations and automation
Solid understanding of IT service management (ITSM) processes and best practices
Experience with database concepts and data modeling in ServiceNow
Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills and the ability to interact well across all levels of the business
Team-first mentality, possesses a positive attitude and works well with others, encourages team cohesiveness and morale
Ability to multi-task
Ability to adapt/respond in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused IT environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities

A proactive approach to staying updated with the latest software trends and advancements
Preferred Requirements:
Located in the KC Metro area
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite
ITIL Certified
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is a plus
