About The Role
As a CMDB Engineer on Uber's IT & HR ServiceNow team, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical foundations of the ServiceNow Platform are operating optimally and that the data and interfaces consumed by platform teams meet quality standards. You will partner with a talented team of engineers, analysts, and business leaders to come up with joint requirements and deliver outcomes to create magical experiences for our internal employees worldwide.

Define technical architectures in Uber's internal tools ecosystem and drive execution of assigned foundational and transformational initiatives Develop a comprehensive understanding of the current state and assist in the development of future state strategies specific to ServiceNow platform capabilities. Develop existing and custom applications within ServiceNow Help coordinate application and platform upgrades Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to develop innovative solutions. Commit to the continuous improvement and learning of development and ServiceNow best practices, tools and technology Assist in gathering and/or reviewing partner process requirements and assisting on how they map to ServiceNow, driving platform expansion and adoption. Scope solution requirements and configure solutions around the ServiceNow platform to meet customer needs and project deliverables Consider architectural dependencies, relationships, and integration points to ensure proper solution integration with other systems when applicable Manage, maintain and scale application inventory
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience as Developer in ServiceNow ecosystem. Experience with CMDB Health, Process, governance and integration with other ITSM modules in ServiceNow Experience working on IT Infrastructure and Engineering teams Experience with Cloud, Containers and on-prem infrastructure Experience in Application Discovery and Mapping: Implement application discovery methods and tools to automatically identify and map applications and their relationships within the organization's infrastructure. Experience in CMDB Configuration: Configure and maintain the CMDB within the ServiceNow platform, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of applications, software components, hardware, and their dependencies. Experience in Data Model Design: Design and customize the CMDB data model to capture relevant information about applications, including version details, licensing information, ownership, and interdependencies Experience in Application Lifecycle Management: Define and manage processes for tracking the entire lifecycle of applications, from provisioning and deployment to retirement or decommissioning Experience with application, software and hardware models and CDSM preferred Self-starter who takes the initiative to accomplish goals and objectives and can work independently, without supervision Proven ability to work closely with the technical leads and stakeholders. 5+ years of experience in Software Development, ServiceNow development or IT Service Management process design ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Knowledge of core AI/ML techniques and algorithms Experience with Big Data, IoT and other emerging technologies Experience with AWS, Google Cloud and/or Azure. Professional experience with a variety of programming languages: powershell, golang or python highly preferable. Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns and DevOps concepts. Web portal development skills, such as HTML, CSS, Angular JS, bootstrap ideal but not a requirement. Experience with collaboration across functional borders enterprise-wise (i.e. within and outside of IT)
