OverviewThis Solutions Architect will be tasked with assisting the Enterprise Architect in formulating and executing technical strategies, ensuring that technology solutions are aligned with business goals, and tackling intricate technical issues.
ResponsibilitiesSupports the Architecture Review Committee (ARC) working group, project teams, and committees consisting of cross-functional specialists, information management experts, operations staff, and consultants in developing and reviewing enterprise solutions.Serves as an expert in Solutions and Enterprise Architecture, providing senior management with strategic direction for information technology roadmaps.Works closely with all business leaders to design enterprise solutions that meet organizational needs.Ensures that appropriate technology can meet internal business demands, including planning IT resources and budget requirements.Acts as a subject matter expert on enterprise systems projects and infrastructure technologies, offering advice on industry best practices by continuously conducting research and developing knowledge related to technologies.Evaluates current enterprise systems, makes recommendations, and oversees implementation throughout various stages of the product lifecycle, including the introduction of new components, expanding current infrastructure, maintaining updates, and phasing out obsolete products.Identifies opportunities to enhance services or reduce operational costs, evaluating and recommending the acquisition of alternative solutions and products.Designs, develops, implements, and maintains utilities and layered products to support systems management, security reporting, queue management, and operations.Conducts technical quality assurance audits and post-implementation reviews for projects and custom applications maintenance, ensuring conformity with user needs and compatibility with enterprise architecture standards.
Qualifications
Must be located in Vancouver, BC, CanadaProven track record in acting as a resident expert on Solutions and Enterprise Architecture, providing strategic direction for information technology roadmaps.Extensive experience in developing and implementing enterprise technical strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, IT specialists, and consultants, to design and implement enterprise solutions.In-depth knowledge of enterprise systems and infrastructure technologies, with a focus on advising on industry best practices and innovative solutions.Skilled in conducting technical quality assurance audits and post-implementation reviews, ensuring projects meet user needs and comply with enterprise architecture standards.Expertise in establishing and maintaining change control procedures for technology upgrades and software migrations, ensuring a stable and secure environment.Experienced in working and collaborating with external stakeholders such as government bodies, regional health authorities, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
