ServiceNow Software Developer -- Long-term Federal Program

Blue Arc is seeking a qualified ServiceNow Software Developer for an exciting, long-term program with a US Government customer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing company with a positive, customer-focused mission.
The Software Developer will design, develop, test, document, and implement software applications and solutions using the ServiceNow platform. The customer is located in the Northern VA metro area, but the work may be performed remotely.
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be required to create workflows, configure and extend objects, and implement the system logic necessary to satisfy customer requirements. You will be working with database administrators, a quality assurance team, system engineers, network engineers and other staff to ensure data consistency, security and privacy. You will be expected to actively participate in design and systems development, software configuration and customization and documentation. You may be required to attend additional training as needed and support all project activities in relation to product delivery.
Duties include the following: Work with fellow team members and project leaders to design ServiceNow applications, perform software configuration and customization, and create documentation. Refine and translate system software requirements specifications into structured ServiceNow programs. Configure, debug, test and document new applications and enhancements including, but not limited to forms, reports, underlying logic and interface components on development projects as assigned.
* Lead discussions with external clients to understand their business processes and technical needs.
* Propose conceptual technical solutions and make changes based on the client’s feedback in an Agile environment.
* Design, build and launch new relational data models in production.
* Develop APIs to integrate with multiple systems.
* Collaborate with client’s technical teams and business users as needed throughout the entire software development life cycle.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
* 5+ years of experience specifically developing applications on the ServiceNow platform.
* Experience with ServiceNow Portal development.
* Experience in programming and/or scripting, particularly Java.
* Agile software development practices, pair programming, stand-ups, planning sessions, and sprints.
* Experience working with relational databases.
* SQL skills - writing queries, joins, views, etc.
* Knowledge of software testing practice; Test-driven development, setup and execution of automated test suites within a continuous integration framework.
* Integrations experience using APIs such as REST and SOAP, JDBC connections, and web services.
* *US Citizenship and a Secret Clearance are required.*
