Job Description Team & Role As one of the Cloud Hardware Product Owners, you will be responsible for owning the Cloud HW New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle process that includes the intake of new product requests, evangelizing technical specifications, gathering stakeholder feedback, and coordinating the required team-driven initiatives to support the defined Cloud HW NPI process, phases, and milestones. As the Cloud HW product owner you will support both the HW Architecture and HW Engineering teams, develop and maintain strong partnerships with other cross-functional stakeholders, technical leaders, and business owners to deliver on strategic organizational initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundational understanding of the different hardware related components that are used to create a private cloud platform. Including, but not limited to; hardware platforms, OS, applications, databases, networks, and application servers. Prior experience in managing programs focused on large-scale server infrastructure at a cloud computing or Managed Service Provider (MSP) is desirable. Candidate must have good communication skills and work well in an open, collaborative, dynamic team environment. What you get to do in this role: Continue to mature the NPI operational and tactical process flows by developing formal templates associated with each phase of the Cloud HW NPI process to be used to capture scope, success criteria, key milestones, deliverables, design, and technical requirements and then to work with stakeholders to implement specific gates at the end of phases to capture and document approval from the appropriate stakeholder teams before moving to the next phase. Represent the Customer's voice to the Cloud HW Engineering and Cloud HW Architecture teams by partnering with the Customer to develop a deep understanding of the Customer’s needs, preferences, and pain points and then translating the information into well documented business requirements that will be used to inform product decisions during the Design phase. Identify and manage both internal and external to ServiceNow dependencies to help anticipate and proactively mitigate any identified risks. Create and maintain a project/work effort list, maintain priorities aligned with department, stakeholder, and company goals, and keep the project backlog groomed. Work with cross-functional teams, including OEM vendors, supply chain, and value-added resellers (VARs), to ensure that Cloud HW products are developed, launched, and delivered successfully on time. Gather and report on stakeholder team’s capacity and utilization. Responsible for communication, coordination, and information flow to ensure all stakeholder teams are aligned on the product vision and goals throughout the entire hardware NPI lifecycle. Coordinate the day-to-day activities required to deliver a great solution on time. Facilitate meetings and deliver crisp status updates to all stakeholders. Develop business readiness plans including training and support documentation and artifacts. Keep documentation up to date in a central location. Influence teams through vision and passion to deliver on agreed upon timelines. Stay abreast of hardware capability trends, supply chain dynamics, vendor relationships, and cost analysis to inform strategy and positioning. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of hardware and storage platforms, networking technologies, datacenter power distribution systems and capacity planning. Ability to focus on the forest and navigate the trees at the same time Facilitation skills in leading planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives. Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills. Superior communications and presentation skills. Strong customer orientation. Ability to make decisions independently. Organizational and planning skills. Proven leadership and people skills. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science (CS), Operations Management (OM) or related field. For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $158,500 - $277,500, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
