ServiceNow Tester

Veterans Engineering is seeking a ServiceNow Tester, to join our team responsible for quality assurance and testing of all ServiceNow implementations and upgrades. Your primary role will be to ensure that all aspects of ServiceNow applications function as intended and meet the business requirements. You will work closely with ServiceNow Developers, Administrators, and project teams to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects.
*Key Responsibilities:*
*Test Planning and Preparation*
· Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on requirements and technical specifications.
· Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand functionality and technology to create relevant testing scenarios
· Set up and maintain test environments
*Execution and Reporting*
· Execute test cases manually or using automated tools and document test results.
· Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking system.
· Collaborate with the development team to prioritize and resolve defects.
· Report on testing status and outcomes to project stakeholders.
*Quality Assurance*
· Ensure that testing addresses all browser and device types as applicable.
· Perform regression testing, performance testing, and usability testing.
· Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process.
*Continuous Improvement*
· Review and analyze system specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness of testing.
· Participate in post-release/post-implementation testing.
· Contribute to the development of test automation frameworks and continuous. integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.
· Stay updated with new testing tools and test strategies.
*Required Skills and Qualifications:*
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
· Proven experience as a tester or quality assurance analyst, specifically with ServiceNow platforms.
· Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
· Experience with automated testing tools and scripting.
· Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
· ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) is highly desirable.
· Experience with scripting in JavaScript and using ServiceNow’s Automated Test Framework (ATF).
· Previous experience in IT service management (ITSM) environments.
· Experience with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.
