*POSITION:* AASHTOWare Project Senior Developer (EAS LCS)
*LOCATION:* Remote (Preference for candidates in North Carolina)
*CONTRACT LENGTH:* 12-24 Months
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
• Design, develop, implement, and support the AASHTOWare Project (AWP) for the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT).
• Collaborate with business analysts and other technical staff to deliver required functionality for the AWP Preconstruction and CRL modules.
• Participate in an agile environment to provide technical expertise on AWP and related systems.
• Perform system administration tasks, including configuration, report writing, automated testing, and interface development.
• Review and translate business user specifications to configure COTS applications to meet desired outcomes.
• Apply knowledge of the AWP data model to develop solutions using the Interactive Data Model tool.
• Create and modify custom reports using AWP’s Active Reports tool (Grape City Tool).
• Develop and execute testing protocols to validate software quality and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AWP and assist with ongoing support for the system.
• Provide recommendations based on technical expertise to improve business processes and system functionalities.
• Use best practices in coding and security, including GIT for source code management.
• Work collaboratively in an Agile SCRUM team, breaking down work into manageable tasks for reliable delivery.

*Pay:* $80/hour
*Expected Hours:* 40 per week (Standard Business Hours, 8 AM - 6 PM M-F local time)
*Skills and Qualifications:*
• *Required*:
* 5+ years of programming and analysis experience.
* Knowledge of SQL, C#, .NET, Python, PowerShell, and other web development languages.
* Strong understanding of AASHTOWare Project (AWP) tools and processes.
* Experience with LAMDA for web application development and applying SOLID principles.
* Knowledge of AWP data models and experience in using the Interactive Data Model tool.
* Proven experience with automated testing protocols and creating test scripts.
* Experience working with state DOT customers and understanding DOT business processes.
* Familiarity with AWP’s Active Reports development using Grape City Tool.
* Ability to work in an Agile SCRUM team and use best coding practices, including GIT for source code management.
• *Preferred*:
* 2+ years of experience specifically working with AASHTOWare Project.
* Experience in automated testing for application upgrades.
* Familiarity with AWP’s Active Reports tool and custom report development.
*Education:*
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
*Work Location:*
• Remote, but candidates in North Carolina are preferred. If located outside of North Carolina, the candidate must use their own equipment to remote into the worksite.
*Schedule:*
• Monday to Friday (8 AM - 6 PM local time)
*Experience:*
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in web application development and systems analysis.
• 2+ years of experience working with AASHTOWare Project (AWP) and DOT systems is highly desired.
