The opportunity EY Technology is expanding the team which manages and maintains our growing internal ServiceNow platforms. This is an opportunity in a fast-paced environment working and consulting on technical projects, architecture and best practices with our world class developers, support and platform engineering staff. As a ServiceNow lead application engineer you will become one of the go-to staff who provide strategic direction, ensures project implementation and leverages a deep understanding of the platform to ensure critical business needs are met. The goals of the ServiceNow lead application engineer are to evaluate and manage migration of new products, Support all new demands in ServiceNow across instances, Align right product in the right instance, adoption of new features including upgrades and patches. Also, answers to technical queries, provide technical guidance and act as a central resource for all things ServiceNow. This position requires you to challenge yourself to create and innovate while ensuring current and future continuity and extensibility of the platform. Your Key Responsibilities In this key role you will be responsible for working with multiple teams and internal clients to assist with the following duties: Acting as a technical Point of Contact for all areas of the platformEvaluate and manage migration of new products to ServiceNowSupports all new demand onboarding across productsInstance alignment Adoption of new features from ServiceNowUpgrades and security patchesProviding Guidance on best practicesConsulting/Advising on Solutions and providing strategic solutionsAttempting to minimize customizationAdvising where a requirement is not feasible or advisable and highlighting risks.Assisting with road map development and prototypingAssisting with Incident resolution when needed Mentoring of other team membersAbility to see (big picture) impacts of configurations or customizations beyond the current scope of workAbility to learn emerging or currently not in use features the tool very quickly Skills And Attributes For Success The skills you bring to our growing team will be instrumental in the success of future projects and the transformation of our platform into a more user centric experience while ensuring current and future continuity and extensibility. A candidate must be able to quickly adapt and learn our environment and constraints to add value to our team. To qualify for the role you must have At least 6 years of design, development & administration experience of the ServiceNow platformExtensive experience with SOAP and REST integrations and associated security protocolsExperience configuring, deploying and supporting HRSD, ITBM, ITOM and ITSM applicationsExperience configuring, deploying and supporting custom applicationsExperience configuring, deploying and supporting Discovery and Service MappingSubstantial Service Portal ExperienceUnderstand Infrastructure (equipment, OIDs, PowerShell, SSH Commands)Proven track record of technical leadership roles delivering complex requirements using creative and innovative methodsProven track record of building relationships with multiple diverse stakeholder groups to complete complex initiativesServiceNow Certified Application DeveloperServiceNow Certified System AdministratorExceptional communication skills which allow effective communication with all ranks of stakeholders who may be technical or non-technical stakeholdersAbility to drive initiatives with minimal supervision Ideally, you’ll also have ITIL v3 or v4 Foundations CertificationExperience with Agile Development MethodologyOrchestration experienceSchedule Flexibility (we have global stakeholders) What We Look For Our team values self-starters who demonstrate leadership skills and value the contributions of individual team members and leverage their strengths.
