Senior Technical Specialist/Developer, ServiceNow SAM Pro

MUST HAVE: Hands on technical experience developing, implementing, integrating ServiceNow SAM Pro module with other ITSM modules. This role is geared towards platform engineering (not process). About the role: BMO is building a modern Software Asset Management practice aimed at making more efficient decisions regarding acquisition, management, release, deployment, maintenance and eventual retirement of software assets. Using a capable platform (ServiceNow SAM) we are looking to augment our team with driven professionals passionate about ITAM and SAM, who want to build a career in this space. We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) resource to oversee the technical aspects of our SAM initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and optimization of the ServiceNow SAM module, ensuring effective software asset management. In addition, the candidate should have a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform and its capabilities, as well as experience in customizing and configuring the platform to meet specific business needs. Accountabilities Lead the technical development and implementation of the ServiceNow SAM module.Configure (hands on) and enhance the SAM module to meet organizational requirements.Integrate SAM with other ServiceNow modules and external systems.Manage the day-to-day technical operations of the SAM module.Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of the SAM system.Ensure the SAM environment is secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.Administer the ServiceNow platform, ensuring optimal performance, stability, and security.Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches to the ServiceNow platform.Manage ServiceNow user accounts, roles, and access controls.Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems and third-party applications.Develop and maintain APIs and data integrations using REST and SOAP web services.Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.Collaborate with IT teams to ensure ServiceNow solutions align with overall IT strategy.Provide technical support and training to ServiceNow users.Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within ServiceNow.Stay current with ServiceNow releases, features, and best practices.Participate in ServiceNow community forums and knowledge sharing activities. Experience 8+ Years of hands on ServiceNow Platform engineering/development experience3+ Years of hands-on ServiceNow SAM implementation and integration experienceProven technical experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, and HRSDHands on scripting experienceCertification in Administration or implementation of SAM module / other ServiceNow modules (CSAM/CITAM)Strong understanding of ITIL and ITSM processesFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies and cloud infrastructureExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong organizational and time management skills Salary: $92,400.00 - $171,600.00 Pay Type: Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position. BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
