Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ServiceNow Scrum Master to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the agile development process for our ServiceNow projects, ensuring the effective implementation of ServiceNow solutions that meet our business needs. The ServiceNow Scrum Master will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and stakeholders, to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Plan and conduct daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Coach and Mentor: Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. Remove Impediments: Identify and remove obstacles that may hinder the team’s progress, ensuring smooth and efficient sprint execution. Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment where team members can freely share information, make decisions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team. Backlog Management: Assist the Product Owner with maintaining a well-defined and prioritized product backlog, ensuring that the team is always working on the most valuable tasks. Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on team performance using Agile metrics (e.g., burndown charts, velocity), providing insights for process improvement. ServiceNow Expertise: Utilize deep knowledge of the ServiceNow platform to guide the team in best practices, problem-solving, and efficient implementation. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and any changes in scope. Continuous Improvement: Promote and support continuous improvement within the team, encouraging experimentation and adaptation to enhance productivity and quality. Compliance and Standards: Ensure that the team adheres to organizational policies, standards, and best practices, particularly those related to ServiceNow development and implementation.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform. Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent certification. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or other relevant ServiceNow certifications are highly desirable. Skills: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to coach and mentor team members. Proficiency with Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and ServiceNow development tools. Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other Agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Lean). Previous experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) or IT Operations. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
