Job Description The ServiceNow Solutions Engineer is a versatile role focused on the practical aspects of configuring, developing, and integrating the ServiceNow platform to address specific business needs. This role is crucial for implementing technical solutions that optimize IT service management (ITSM), automate business processes, and ensure seamless operation across various IT services and applications. The Solutions Engineer works hands-on within the ServiceNow environment, applying technical skills to develop functionalities, integrate systems, and troubleshoot issues to enhance platform efficiency and usability. ServiceNow Solutions Engineer Hiring Salary Range: $100,000-$135,000 Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary outside of the posted hiring salary range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level. Responsibilities Technical Implementation and Configuration: Execute detailed technical tasks for configuring and customizing the ServiceNow platform, including setting up ITSM modules, developing custom applications, and tailoring user interfaces to improve operational efficiency and user satisfaction.Development and Integration: Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, along with ServiceNow APIs, to develop and integrate solutions within the ServiceNow platform, connecting disparate systems and automating workflows.Solution Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues within ServiceNow configurations, custom developments, and integrations, ensuring high system reliability and performance.Process Automation: Design and implement automation scripts and workflows within ServiceNow to streamline business and IT processes, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy.Documentation and Maintenance: Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, custom developments, and integrations. Regularly review and update solutions to ensure they meet current business needs and leverage new ServiceNow features.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that align with organizational goals. Provide technical expertise and support to ensure successful adoption of ServiceNow functionalities.Attain knowledge and remain knowledgeable of development in regulations, laws, standards, and best practices applicable to the functional area including, but not limited to, Standards of Conduct, Environmental, Employment Law, NERC Reliability Standards and Safety. Qualifications Education and Training: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, And Ability Proficiency in JavaScript, REST, SOAP, and ServiceNow development practiceKnowledge of ITIL frameworks and experience with agile development methodologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to tackling challenges and implementing solutions.Good communication skills, capable of working effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.Ability to manage tasks and projects efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.Strong focus on customer serviceHighly motivated and self-directed; able to effectively prioritize and execute while under pressure.Highly adaptable and flexible; able to adjust quickly to new situations and changing priorities.Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Experience Six (6) years’ experience with ServiceNow platform, including configuration, development, and integration.Demonstrated ability to implement practical solutions within ServiceNow to solve business problemsSolid understanding of ITIL practices, IT service management processes, and ServiceNow platform administration Other Willingness to travel as required.
