Your Role
Be the application owner for our ServiceNow CMDB : delivering CMDB enhancements (additional data integrations, onboarding new CI classes, extending datascope, additional fiunctionalities ... ) & supporting Configuration manager & other CMDB users Support implementation of CSDM & ITOM Discovery Work in close collaboration with our Configuration Manager, who is process owner
for Config mgmt., managing CMDB content and main provider of CMDB requirements.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Prepare roadmap for CMDB evolution, in concertation with Configuration manager & other stakeholders (Platform mgmt., Process owners, Architect, ... ) Advise organization on how to best apply CMDB best practices Capture CMDB & CSDM requirements and translate them into user stories for
implementation by our development team
Support technical implementation of CMDB in ServiceNow; ability to apply
configurations yourself
Lead functional & technical implementation of digital portfolio mgmt.. module in
ServiceNow (Service portfolio mgmt. process)
Advice on our implementation of ServiceNow CSDM Support our implementation of various integrations to capture & maintain CI data,o. ITOM Discovery. Set-up and use of IRE. Provide ServiceNow Administration and Functional/Development Support to users
and process owners across the Organization
Provide timely support to user queries and troubleshoot production issues; Perform Systems Integration Testing and manage/coordinate user acceptance
testing.
Creation of technical and functional documents for hand-over to our support
organisation
Act as back-up of our configuration manager when needed
RequirementsQualifications / Required Skill
Understanding of ITSM best practices and ITIL principles Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB, CSDM & ITOM Discovery Good knowledge of Servicenow technical, coding and customisation best practices Experience with technical ServiceNow components such as: business rules, client
scripts, UI policies and actions, UI pages and macros, script includes, catalog items,
workflows, web services, reports, etc.
Minimum 3+ years of CMDB development and administration experience in an
enterprise environment with ServiceNow
Strong understanding of a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and its relationship to asset management and IT service management processes Strong understanding of ServiceNow CSDM Model Experience in CMDB integration with discovery tools Servicenow MID server configuration and deployment hands on experience. Understanding of IRE rules Knows the different cmdb related modules like CMDB Data Manager / Data
Certification / Audits /..
Experience with configuring views and preferably understanding on how to configure
the CMDB Workspace (or other workspaces)
Experience with integrationHUB ETL Certifications: ServiceNow Administrator, CMDB, CSDM, ITOM Discovery
Other
Ability to work with end users, technical staff and management as necessary. Can work independently and contribute to CMDB deliverable prioritizations
(feasibility, complexity estimations)
Needs to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong documentation and verbal/written communication skills. Strong multi-tasking and analytical skills Good knowledge (verbal and written) of English, and at least one of Dutch or French
